TO MEET ME IS TO WANT ME.
4 year old Banit is one of those dogs that you may just scroll past because he is not as "striking" as some of the others. That would be a huge mistake. Read on:
Some say Siberian Huskies are like snowflakes with no two being alike. Wooley Bandit is one of the most fun dogs to enter our program.
Bandit was recently returned after being in a adoptive home for two years. One of his owners had to leave town for long lengths of time and Bandit was having stress and seperation anxiety bathroom problems. Lovable Bandit has adjusted immediately in foster care. He is very trusting and has an "innocent until proven guilty" theme with both dogs and humans.
We have two requirements for Bandit.
1. He needs a canine playmate since he has never been totally alone.
2. He can not be alone for more than 5-6 hours at a time on a consistent basis.
This large playful boy is comfortable around children of all ages. He is a big boy so toddlers should never be left alone with him.
Big Bandit is very obedient. When being corrected he listens well but the attention span is short. Already the foster home has seen improvement. Bandit is completely housetrained however, he needs to be crated when left alone due to the seperation anxiety. Bandit comes when he is called. Because of his size, the family should be careful when they get Bandit all riled up. Also, this lad thinks he is a 20pd dog and tries to get into impossible places. Watching his effort will make you giggle.
Bandit will want to be with the family. He will follow you around but not be a pain. Plus he is not destructive so he can get free roam of the house when you are home. He is crated when the family is out.
You can burn off some of his energy by playing fetch. He retrieves and gives it back to you. Bandit will also entertain himself with any toy that squeaks.
Bandit could be a second or third dog in a home depending on the other dogs. He does get jealous when the other dog gets attention. He will stop whatever he is doing and come over. Previously he did not have fence but he does in foster. A fenced yard will certainly help with the energy level which is about medium for the breed and age.

DAISEY Mae

Daisey is a typical young Siberian.
Daisey is a sweet affectionate young siberian. She is 3 years old but some of her antics will remind you of a puppy.
Daisey is a lot of fun as long as you have a sense of humor.
Daisey has been known to empty cabinets and to open the refridgerator looking for treats. She has taught herself to dispense ice cubes from the freezer and can also get a drink of water from the dispenser.
Daisey is not destructive in the house she just likes to reorganize things. So you might find that she has rearranged the kitchen cabinents for you!
She is a dog that needs a dog companion to help her burn off some of her energy.
We are currently working on getting her crate trained and completely house trained.
Daisey is a smart girl.
She is cat friendly and dog friendly.
You should know that Daisey does have a sensitive stomach and needs to be kept on a grain free diet.
Daisey is extremely smart and has learned basic commands very quickly.

Jakey

About Me :

Jakey recently turned 5yrs old. This sweet boy was raised by an elderly couple
who loved him dearly and treated him well. Sadly, Jakey's owners needed to
be placed in a nursing home and have both passed away. This handsome boy's affectionate
spirit is a testament to the TLC he received in his previous home. Unfortunately his previous
owners were not able to take him many places so Jakey has needed some time to gain
confidence meeting new people and being in unfamiliar surroundings. Jakey has made great progress
but his new home will still need to continue to work with him.
Jakey would do best in a quiet home as an only dog or with a mature female canine companion. We
recommend no kids under 10yrs as he tends to play rough. Jakey is house trained and good loose in the
house when no one is home.

CAN I LIVE WITH YOU?
First you should know that my medicines run approx 250 dollars a month. If you read that and did not blink then please keep reading.
I love to cuddle with people but be careful I am a bed hog.
I am currently living with two other Siberians and I love to play with them. Matter of fact I love all dogs...big dogs, little dogs, skinny dogs, fat dogs it just does not matter.
Cats- they are awesome too. I especially like to play chase with the 6 month old kitten in my foster home. I would never hurt him though!
Need a singing partner then I am your man! I can sing and talk and talk and then sing some more. You will never be lonely with me in the house.
My foster mom says that I should tell you that I do have a couple of unique issues:
I am a big boy- well make that HUGE boy. Ha Ha I say it is just more of me to love. My foster mom calls me T-Rex but that is ok she can call me anything as long as she calls me for dinner.
I am blind in my right eye. This eye also has Glaucoma. I take two different eye meds daily for it.
Don’t worry that does not stop me one bit. Though I do bump into things occasionally. Who keeps moving the walls around in this house?
And my most serious issue is my heart.
It’s like the grinch - two sizes too small.
I have Chronic Valvular Disease, Atrial premature contractions and early signs of congestive heart failure.
Currently I take 4 different medicines for my heart.
My med’s run about 250 dollars a month right now. I do seem to be doing well on them.
I just want a home to call my own so I can play and sing and sing some more.
Can I live with you?

Our young guy Shadow is back and still looking for his forever home. This sweet boy has lots of wonderful qualities but needs a husky savy home to finish his training. We are searching for a home without another dog as Shadow is picky about his doggie friends. He needs a family that will spend time with him and not leave him alone too much. A fenced in yard or a very athletic family is a must for Shadow as he needs a constructive way to get his energy out. He is not a hyper dog just thrives on your attention hence the name "Shadow". He is living in a foster home with 3 older children (10, 16 &18) and loves to play but can get rough with his mouth so he will not be allowed to got a to a home with younger children. Meet ’Ol Blue Eyes. Sinatra is an energetic youngister who loves to play and go for car rides. He plays rough so he would do better with older chidlren(teen agers). He is crate trained and house trained. He does pull hard on leash and has a High prey drive. This handsome boy is a quick learner and likes an active household.

Tasha our newest girl, is petite and lovable. In fact, Tasha is the sweetest, most affectionate little girl you could meet. Tasha loves people, and licks your face as soon as she knows you are a "dog person". Tasha also likes other dogs, and will play with any dog who is interested. True to her breed, she does play rough. Maybe too rough for a very small dog. Tasha is energetic and fit, and will enjoy a home where she will get regular exercise.
Tasha came to us because her owner died. She ended up living at the vet practice she attended. Tasha was there for three months, before we were contacted by the vet. The upside to being at the vet was that she met lots of dogs, and is up to date on all her shots. And, she got lots of attention from the staff.
Tasha should not be in a home with a cat or other small critters. This is something the vet found out.
Tasha must have lived in a one floor home, as she was very timid of stairs in her foster house. But, she showed that she was very treat motivated, and followed a trail of biscuit pieces up and down the steps. After that, no more fear of steps. She is eager to please and treat motivated, and that means she is trainable. Tasha does know "sit" and will come when called, but that seems to be the extent of her past training. Her foster family will be working on walking calmly on leash and other items. She does pull when out on her walk.
If you meet Tasha and look into her beautiful, soulful brown eyes, you will fall in love with her.
Tasha's high energy level means she would do beter in home with dog savvy, older children.
