Millie
Gender :  -Female-
Age :  1-2 years
Success Story :  Aquila and Joseph Galgon adopted their first Siberian the day they made settlement on their present 1800's style beautiful home 15 year ago. A straggley looking Red and White showed up in their yard after the movers left. They named him Wolfgang and gave him the TLC he needed to be the beautiful Siberian that he truly was underneath all the dirt that life as a stray had left on him.

In return, Wolfgang gave them love and faithful companionship for 14 years. Wolfgang passed over the Rainbow Bridge recently and Aquila and Joseph were looking to fill the empty place in their hearts and home. The Galgon's also care for two stray cats that have made their front porch their home. The feed and vet these cats when necessary. Today, Millie became a part of their family and immediately made herself at home in their 3/4 acre fenced yard and home. Millie initially showed interest int he cats but after Muffin stood her ground, Millie submitted and lost interest. Millie is a lucky dog to have found such great people to call her own. Their gentle nature and love for animals is easy to see after spending only a short time with them.

Tasha
Gender :  -Female-
Age :  1-2 years
Success Story :  This recently relocated military couple contacted the DVSHR to help find their new Sibe family member. After making a few suggestions of Sibes that were in our rescue, none seemed to be suited to their desires. Then Tasha came along and she was exactly what the McGrath’s were waiting for. Tasha, now Brady, shares a wonderful, loving home with her "doggie sister" Sami.
This adoption was especially rewarding to me since Shawn and Tricia McGrath are good people so deserving of our rescue Siberians!
Good Luck! Jeff Morrow-Lucas 6/2008

Nikolai - Pup
Gender :  -Male-
Age :  < 6 months
Success Story :  Nikolai was born in Rescue to DVSHR Rescue dog, Millie. He was one of 5 pups in the litter. Carolyn works as a Teacher with me (foster mom, Carly). Carolyn came home with me on lunch breaks to check on the pups and fell in love. She got to see them develop from about 3 weeks of age. She applied to adopt and brought her fiance Pete down to meet the pups. Pete was instanntly in love with this little one as well. At 7 weeks old they brought their dogs Adrienne and Kodi down to meet Nikolai (nicknamed Panda Boy). Everything went so well that they brought him home and accepted them into their family and pack at 9
weeks old on 6/20/2008. Nikolai now has a Coonhound sister named Adrienne and brother named Kodi
