Kika was adopted on 5/19 by the Les Spindler family from Scranton, PA. Thank you Marie Noyes for your assistance with this adoption since it was an "official" first for both of us. Kika’s new family absolutely loves her and she has three "dog friendly" kitties to hang out with. Laureen, Kika’s new mom tells me she sits at the front window each morning with Domino, one of her cat buddies (guess what color he is?) and watches the world go by. (I think there’s a squirrel that comes to visit too). Kika made herself right at home exploring upstairs and down while Marie and I processed the paper work and answered questions. Marie did remarkably well giving up her first foster. As we were leaving, I think we both realized that Kika was quite happy with her new home. Since I do not yet have a digital camera, I took regular photos of the adoption. As soon as they are developed, I’ll have them put on a disc so they can be viewed by all. Future updates will follow.

Not to many dogs impacted our rescue as much as the father and son team of Mario and Max. We knew we had to adopt them together because they had a very special bond. The family shown here recognized that bond as soon as they met them. The dogs won them over. This family has won us over. Any family can adopt a puppy but it takes a huge heart to adopt two middle age dogs. We are so happy for Mario and Max that this family found them.
