Description : | NEW DOG: CAT FRIENDLY Even though she was a stray, we don’t expect her to be with us long. This sweet Wooley has instantly won over everyone. When we had her spayed, the vet held her for ransom. It was there we discovered that Red must have lived with cats. She completely ignored the office cats walking around her. So far, she gets along with dogs also. Like most Siberians, she is very smart and has proven this by sliding the door open on her kennel run. From there she immediately sought out the people in the office. At the dog park, she works the human crowd getting "oohs and ahhs" from everyone.
Lady Red does best in a home without alot of commotion. She likes to be the center of attention. She rides well in the car and enjoys ravel. She does not pull on the leash after the initial couple of minutes. She will want to hang in the room that her family hangs in.
Lady Red is a "Wooley" and will require constant grooming so she does not get matted. She does not mind this at all. She is low on the Siberian Husky traits and would make a fantastic first Siberian for a family. |

Success Story : | Lady Red is a very unusual husky. Quiet, calm and cat friendly, it seemed as if she would be easy to place in a home. However, we found that she needed a home that matched her melancholy demeanor; alot of activity would have made her uncomfortable and unhappy. The Soderberg’s patiently waited for the right dog. A couple in their late 5os’, they lived a relaxed life-style. Their choice to adopt a husky may not have been a wise one initially. Most huskies would not have been a suitable match for them. However, because of Lady’s unconventional siberian personality, all worked well.
