Bruno
Gender :  -Male-
Size :  Large ( 60 - 70 lbs )
Age :  2-3 years
Coat Color :  Black / White
Eye Color :  Blue Eyes
Description :  A PERSONAL PLEA FOR THIS DOG

My name is Pat Aiello and I have been Application/Foster Chair for DVSHR for 5 years. About once a year we get a dog that goes beyond the definition of "Special Needs"

This is the case with our huggable Bruno. If you are the person that looks for the dog that others scroll by, we need you. If you are person that goes to the injured animal on the side of the road, we need you. If you are the person that can make difficult decisions when a pets quality of life has suffered, we need you. Can you step up to the plate again?
The bio below is from Brunos’ foster family. Please read it and apply for Bruno if I have just described you.

CAT FRIENDLY

Bruno is an epileptic. He has cluster seizures on an average of every two to three weeks. His previous owner has told us that the longer he is in a stable environment his seizures become less and less frequent. It is critical that he find his permanent home sooner rather than later. Bruno needs to know that he is home.

Bruno is a very loving and vocal husky. He loves to play in his baby pool, loves other dogs and is very submissive to all dogs. He gets along great with cats…he pretty much ignores the cats in his foster home. His first owner spent a lot of time training him. Bruno knows: sit, down, paw, stay, come, and gets off furniture when told to. Bruno is crate trained. Bruno is a counter surfer and at times you will find him standing in the middle of the table. We are working on that.

Bruno is a gorgeous Black and White husky. He stops traffic whenever he is out on a walk, everybody wants to pet him. He is great with children and has quickly become a favorite of the kids in the neighborhood.

Bruno currently takes Phenobarbital and Potassium Bromide to aid in the control of his seizures. The average cost of his med’s per month is 25-30 dollars.

Are you the right person to take in this three year old looking for his own home?
