Description : | KC is going to turn one on December 17, 2008! Wouldn’t it be great for her to have a party with her new forever family?
KC is your typical husky puppy. She loves to chew on paper, stuffed animals and other objects young children leave lying around the house. (KC currently resides with another husky and 2 younger, under 10 year old children). KC does well around toddlers as well. She does jump on occasion and is responding well to “off”.
KC has cataracts and is currently being treated by an ophthalmologist. We would like if she could stay with him. He has several locations: Langhorne, Quakertown and Harrisburg all in Pennsylvania. Her next appointment will be in November or December.
She currently receives eye drops twice a day. The cost of her drops is very minimal. We do however go once every few weeks for a pressure reading. (Many vets have the equipment and knowledge on how this procedure works.) Her ophthalmologist thinks she may need to stay on this routine for 12-18 months. The hope is that her cataracts will stop leaking and dissolve on their own; therefore no surgery is scheduled.
KC is easily corrected when she misbehaves and responds well to ‘leave it’. She will need a firm, loving hand in her new home to ensure she continues her training. KC knows the commands “sit” and “paw”. Her foster family is working on “down” and “stay”.
KC loves to play tug of war and fetch with her squeaky ball. In the house, KC is completely house trained and crate trained. She leaves the covered trashcans alone but does like to investigate the ones that aren’t covered. She tries to investigate the counters/stove but only when her family is cooking. She is responding nicely to corrections.
KC loves to romp around the backyard and would do best with another dog to socialize with. Due to her curiosity she cannot be around smaller indoor pets such as birds. She will obsess over them. However KC is showing some signs of being cat friendly.
KC loves going for walks! She pulls very hard while walking and due to this gets walked on a prong collar, which she responds well to. With the proper training KC will settle as she ages and learn all the manners that we would all like our dogs to have. |

Success Story : | Hoping for a young, small, gentle, and dog friendly Sibe, the Capocasale family found all of that in our sweet & petite KC. Other family members and neighbors were amazed at, after only a few days, how well KC has adapted to her new forever home. With two young boys (Mark & Ren) at home, KC will get plenty of exercise in her beautiful neighborhood. Best wishes to Renold, Nancy, Ren, Mark, and KC! Jeff Morrow-Lucas 12-28-08 |
