Description : | The most valuable benefit of adopting from a rescue is you secure the dog’s future for life. At DVSHR, we take our dogs back at any age for any reason.
Seven year old Moxi is an example of why this is important. This Husky/Shepard mix was adopted out in 2003 along with her two brothers and 1 sister. Because of changes in the family, Moxi was no longer safe and was surrendered back to us.
Moxi’s mother was a Siberian and her father was most likely at least part Shepard. She was the most timid pup and also the one with the least amount of puppy issues.
We knew Moxi as a pup and now we will get to know her as an adult. We do know that she is not destructive when left free roam of the house. She lived with a cat and a young child. Once she was removed from the home she grew up in, it appeared she escaped the new yard. We are unsure whether she was getting out on her own or "had help". Moxi does not complain even when she is unhappy. She is social with other dogs and walks well on leash. Moxi is a gentle, sweet girl who needs 10 minutes to be sure you are not a threat. Then she is all yours and wants the attention.
We believe she deserves a loving family for the second half of her life. Moxi would be a good first Siberian for a family. More on Moxi to come. |

Success Story : | Poor Moxi was a victim of a broken home. After 7 years she was surrendered to us. But all ends well as she goes to live with her brother Skyler that she hasn't seen since they were puppies. |
