About Me : | Klondike is a 60 pound white cotton ball of a male Husky. He’s a charmer with a gentle, relaxed personality.
A family tragedy forced his previous owners to surrender him and his companion, Kodiak, but he made a quick transition in his foster home where he has a female Sibe playmate. He is excellent with her and they just love to lounge curl up next to each other.
Klondike is well-trained and obedient. He doesn’t pull and responds to commands well. He won’t do his business on leash, however, so new owner will require a yard with at least a 6 feet privacy (not chain link) fence (he’s a bit of an escape artist).
Klondike’s a cuddler, likes to sit in your lap with his head in your chest. He’s house broken and crate trained. He’ll let his owner know when he has to go out.
He’s done well at the dog park, but is somewhat leery of other dogs. He and his foster-sister love to run together there.
The only thing that really gets Klondike wound up other than his leash is food: Yours, his, your neighbor’s. He’s a little rough taking treats but will back off with a firm “Gentle!” All in all, Klondike is a treasure. Besides the fence, a home with a female canine companion would be best. |
