We will not turn away any volunteer. If there is something you want to do, just let us know and we will be happy to have you join our team. Go the the DVSHR contact page and e-mail or phone one of the members with your suggestions or ideas. Here are just a few of the things you can do to help Siberian Huskies in our area.

Foster Caregiver:  People who have the space in their home and heart are encourged to serve as foster homes.  The foster home is expected to provide food and shelter.  All vet bills are paid by the rescue.  Foster homes may be needed for a period of a few days to a few months. To become foster home, start by filling out an adoption application. Just add at the end of the application that you are looking to be a foster home.

Transportation:  Help is often needed to move dogs from shelters to foster care to new homes.  In addition, dogs will be needed for certain events or to vet vists.  If you can help transport dogs at various times please let us know how much driving you are willing to do and your availablity.

Adoption Angels:  Persons to review applications for new homes, including calling references and doing home checks, are needed.  These individuals will also make adoption deliveries.  Training is provided to new adoption angels.

Other:  If you feel you have a special talent that can serve the objective of the rescue, please let us know what it is.  The opportunites of volunteer work are never limited.
