About: Custard is still young, 2-3 years old estimated by the vet, with a whole world left to discover. He’ll thrive with a family willing to invest time in him through regular walks, training, playtime, and lots of love. He’s eager to learn and explore, and he’ll love having a family by his side for all of life’s adventures.

Custard has some pretty great house manners!

  • Fully housebroken. No accidents in his foster home!
  • Young and healthy.  No known or exhibited health conditions.
  • A great overnight companion. He sleeps through the night, so everyone can get their beauty rest.
  • Trustworthy home alone. No need to crate Custard when you leave the house. He behaves himself while his humans are away and doesn’t get into trouble.
  • Super sweet and affectionate. He loves being with his pack and wants to be part of the family’s everyday life and is extremely deferential to humans.
  • Trainable.  Custard has learned to sit and stay and wait for his food and other small commands in his short time with his foster home.

  • An active lifestyle. Regular walks, training, and playtime will help keep his mind and body happy. He’s eager to learn about the world around him and will soak up the attention and enrichment you give him.
  • Playmates with energy to match. Active kids or a canine companion close to his age and energy level could make great additions to his world.
  • A securely fenced yard. Like many huskies, Custard may be tempted to investigate a weak spot in the fence. A secure yard is essential to keeping this curious guy safe.  Twice he has escaped an open gate but doesn’t roam far and came back when called.
  • Leash-only adventures. Custard does well on leash with no pulling. Keeping him leashed outdoors is important for his safety, especially if another animal crosses his path.
  • A cat-free home. Huskies can have a strong prey drive, so Custard is looking for a home without cats.
